Danny Baza Blas

Arguably the best team in education I have ever worked was at Kearny High School in 2015. I taught 11th Grade U.S. History at the School of Engineering, Innovation and Design with a team of teachers including Emily Liebenberg, Kyra Matsao, Tim Bingham and Jess Frichtel. I found this article in the New York Times about a writer named Kathleen Collins. Ms. Collins passed away; however, her daughter saved the writer's work in a box, which the daughter found too painful to look through. Later Collins' daughter found the courage to look through the box and that experience became the subject of the song "saved in a box".
